Troop 45 Scouts will hold a Winter outing at the Nunnemacher Cabin located at the Dartmouth Skiway in Lyme, NH. Scouts and adults can choose to ski or snowboard at the skiway, or snowshoe/hike on the AT between the road and Holts ledge. Due to the variety of options, skiers and snowboarders can pair up or form small groups to learn from each other and stick together during the afternoon. We will meet in the lodge mid-afternoon and before the lift closes to head to the cabin. The evening meal and breakfast will be done as a patrol. Evening activities can include scout games, stargazing, hiking and patrol activities.

This activity will be conducted at the Dartmouth Skiway, a modern ski area. Nummemacher Cabin is rustic, but safe and comfortable. There is no electricity at the cabin, but it is equipped with wood heat and a gas stove. Sleeping accommodations include thin mattresses and lots of floor space.
Check the weather and dress appropriately. Drink lots of water. Activities will be moderated so everyone has a safe and enjoyable experience. Depending on snow conditions Alpine skiing will be conducted on the slopes of the Dartmouth skiway.
