1.0 Overview

We have 11 Scouts going to the 2013 National Jamboree. The troop will conduct a car wash to help raise funds to send these Scouts to the jamboree and for other troop activities.

2.0 Concept

2.1 Description

The car wash will be in the parking lot of the CVS Pharmacy at 79 S Main in Hanover. Setup begins at 1100 Saturday Sep 29, and we open for business at 1130. We will end operations at 1500.

2.2 Schedule of Events

Saturday, 29 Sept 12
1100 -- Arrive and set up.
1130 -- Start washing cars!
1500 -- End and clean up.

2.3 Expected Conditions and Difficulty

It is predicted to be a cloudy in the 60s with a chance of rain. Be prepared with raingear, warm clothes, and a water bottle.

This is a 100% uniformed event. Class B uniform is appropriate.

2.4 Special Requirements

Open to all Scouts, Scouters, and parents.

There are no skills prerequisites for this event, however we need to an excellent job on every car we wash.

3.3 Costs

None for participants. We are going to assign individuals to bring all of the supplies including car wash detergent.

3.5 Equipment

3.5.1 Individual Equipment

  • Class B uniform. We'll be in the public eye!
  • You may want to bring spare clothes in case you get wet.
  • Water bottle.
  • Car washing equipment as assigned. (See Troop Equipment below.)

    None.

    3.5.3 Troop Equipment

  • First Aid Kit
  • Hoses.
  • Nozzles.
  • Buckets.
  • Sponges.

    3.6 Transportation Plan

    Drop-off Point: CVS Parking lot
    Drop-off Time: As assigned (between 1100 and 1400)
    Pickup Point: CVS Parking lot
    Pickup Time: As assigned (between 1300 and 1500)
