Norwich University Scouting Association Camporee
1.0 OverviewTroop 45 will participate in the Norwich University Scouting Association Camporee.
This will be a two night camping trip September 19-21-2003 with
other Troops in the District. The theme of the camporee is fun filled adventure.
2.1 DescriptionThe outing will begin on Friday when
the Troop meets at 1200 hrs at the old hospital parking lot on Maynard St. Hanover NH.
From there we will drive to the Camporee site in Norwich University Northfield VT.
We will move in to our camp site and set up camp on the lower football field,
which happens at about 1400 hrs.
Friday Lunch will be at McDonald's in White River Jct VT
The Troop 45 will depart from McDonald's and drive north on I89 to Norwich University.
On Saturday we will participate in a variety of games, and activities
including learning some things about Cadet life.
Saturday evening there will be a campfire and fireworks display for everyone at the camporee.
2.2 Schedule of Events
THE SCHEDULE SHOWN BELOW HAS CHANGED DUE TO HURRICANE ISABEL. WE WILL BE DEPARTING HANOVER ON SATURDAY MORNING. WE WILL MEET IN THE OLD HOSPITAL PARKING LOT AT 8:00 AM ON SATURDAY.

2.3 Expected Conditions and Difficulty
This will be a moderate outing with no significant amount of backpacking
required. The outing is open to all Scouts.
Weather forecast calls for temperatures to range from the 60's during the
day to the upper 30's over night. Rain is a distinct possibility so raingear will be important. Pack and dress accordingly.
2.4 Special Requirements
Remember your Scout Spirit and Be Prepared to have fun.
No open fires are permitted; we will use gas camp stoves.

The Troop will purchase food for Saturday and Sunday
Gas fires one for each Patrol.
