1.0 Overview

Flooding from Hurricane Irene devastated many local areas. In order to help our neighbors in need, the troop will conduct a car wash to raise funds to contribute to local relief efforts.

2.0 Concept

2.1 Description

The car wash will be held in the parking lot of the CVS Pharmacy at 79 S Main in Hanover. Setup begins at 1230 Sunday, and we open for business at 1300. We will end operations at 1600.

Preparatory activities on Saturday include organizing personnel and equipment, and making signs.

2.2 Schedule of Events

1230 -- Arrive and set up.
1300 -- Start washing cars!
1600 -- End and clean up.

2.3 Expected Conditions and Difficulty

It's chilly! Be prepared.

2.4 Special Requirements

Open to all Scouts, Scouters, and parents. There are no skill prerequisites for this outing.

3.3 Costs

None for participants. We may need to purchase car wash detergent.

3.4 Equipment

3.4.1 Individual Equipment

  • Class B uniform. We'll be in the public eye!
  • You may want to bring spare clothes in case you get wet, and a jacket in case it's cold.
  • Car washing equipment as assigned. (See Troop Equipment below.)

    3.5 Transportation Plan

    Drop-off Point: CVS Parking lot
    Drop-off Time: As assigned (between 1230 and 1530)
    Pickup Point: CVS Parking lot
    Pickup Time: As assigned (betweeh 1300 and 1600)
