1.0 Overview

The Prouty Ride is an annual fund-raising event sponsored by the Norris Cotton Cancer Center to raise funds for cancer research. Troop 45 participates by helping with the job of putting away tables, chairs, and other equipment at the event control center located at the Dartmouth Medical School. This outing is a good opportunity for community service.

2.0 Concept

2.1 Description

We will meet at the Med School parking lot at 4:00 pm and report to the ride headquarters for instructions. Activities usually involve taking down and stacking tables and chairs, helping to strike the scaffolding that supports the entryway, cleaning up trash, and disposing of excess food.

2.2 Schedule of Events

Saturday 10Jun
1600 -- Meet at Med School
1730 -- Finish

2.3 Expected Conditions and Difficulty

This is basically a work party. The ride goes off rain or shine so be prepared for the weather.

2.4 Special Requirements

Open to all scouts, scouters, and parents. There are no skill prerequisites for this outing.
