1.0 Overview

We have been invited to camp with the Norwich Boy Scout Troop. Most of their scouts are students at the Richmond Middle School or at Hanover High School, yet we do not know who they are. This will be a good chance for the two troops to get to know each other.

2.0 Concept

2.1 Description

This is an easy campout. With good weather expected this will by a day in the woods by a pond.

We are planning on cooking in pairs on this camp out. So everyone is responsible for their own food.

We are NOT hiking from Hanover. That plan did not develop.

2.3 Expected Conditions and Difficulty

This should be a relatively easy, fun outing with no special challenges and conditions similar to Storrs Pond. Nevertheless, it is important to be prepared for the unexpected, and to use this outing as an opportunity to develop skills for more rigorous conditions. The hike from the American Legion Post to the campsite is a little over a mile.

2.4 Special Requirements

Open to all scouts, scouters, and parents. There are no skill prerequisites for this outing.

Parents, if you are interested in joining us, you are welcome! Please give Mr. Smith me a call.
