Each February the troop spends an afternoon at the Thompson's farm in Woodstock, VT, just having fun in the snow. There are often opportunites to work on new scout skills, but mostly the emphasis is just on having a good time.
The outing is held at the Thompson's farm in Woodstock, VT. Activities are mostly informal, with sledding, skiing, snowball fights, exploring the hill, and the traditional game of King of the Mountain. Mr. Thompson has a nifty little cabin with a wood stove for warming up and cooking lunch. There's a small field, lots of woods, a creek, and a steep mountainside to explore. Mr. Thompson provides hot dogs to cook on the woodstove. Except for the cabin, we are outside for the entire outing. There is about a 200 yard walk from the parking area to the cabin.
1000 Meet at Old Hospital Parking Lot. Organize transport and travel to the farm.
1530 Pickup at the farm
