Ski Trip to Killington
1.0 Overview
This outing will consist of a one-day downhill skiing and snowboarding trip to theKillington Ski Resort in central Vermont on Sunday 10 February 2002.
2.0 Concept
2.1 Description
Participants will meet in the Maynard Street parking lot on Sunday morning, drive to Killington, ski or snowboard for the day and return home. Participants who have not already earned Snow Sports Merit Badge will be able to complete the on-snow requirements for the merit badge during this outing.
2.2 Schedule of Events
0800 - Meet at Old Hospital Parking Lot on Maynard Street. Depart as soon as all are ready.
0930 - Approximate arrival time. Purchase lift tickets, rent gear if necessary and start skiing and riding.
1600 - Stop skiing when the lifts close. Pack up and head for home.
1800 - Arrive in Hanover
2.3 Expected Conditions and Difficulty
As of Thursday February 7th, Killington has packed powder on 70 miles of trails. Weather forecast for Sunday is for cloudy conditions with a chance of rain or freezing rain in the afternoon. Could be a Gortex day! Full report is available on the Killington web site.
2.4 Special Requirements
This outing is open to skiers and boarders of all abilities.

We are fortunate to obtain discount tickets for $29.00 per person.

3.4.1 Individual Equipment
Skiing and snow boarding equipment and appropriate warm clothing.
Class A Uniform should be worn for travel.
