The timing of this service project went pretty much according to plan. The Scouts were divided into two crews; one group helped inside the swap meet by assisting customers who needed help loading purchases into their cars. The second group helped load the trucks that hauled the recyclable material.
Analysis and Lessons Learned
The Scouts were of genuine assistance to Valley Net staff and their help was very much appreciated. We received a Thank-You note from the ValleyNet Director which read: "The swap meet was a great success - over 14 tons of recycled equipment plus about $9,000 in sales. We simply could not have succeeded without the efforts of your troop. We are extremely grateful for all of the help! You guys are the best! Ron Boehm, ValleyNet."
