Call to Order

Convened at 1907 5Dec11 , David Desaulniers presiding.

Review of Minutes from Last Month

Minutes from November were approved as amended.

Committee Reports

Standing Committees

Service Committee
  • 547 items collected for Scouting for Food. Delivered to Listen Center. They were very grateful.
  • We received a second, more personal letter from The Haven.

    AdHoc Committees

  • Survival Hike. The outing was "pretty fun." We built shelters, ate pop-tarts, returned in the dark. Committee discharged.
  • Winter Shakedown. Basic ideas are down. Plan needs to be developed.
  • November Program. All agreed that Robin did a great job. Applause. Committee discharged.

    Old Business

  • Uniforms. Gradual improvement. 17/18 at last meeting. Please wear the uniform on all outings.
  • Opening Ceremony. Not there yet, but getting there. Some people still not taking it seriously.
  • Disposition of Car Wash Funds. New letter received from the Haven. More "personalized." Motion: The letter is to be read during the next troop meeting by the Scribe. Motion Passed.

    New Business

  • Toys for Tots. Motion: That Jake will chair the committee to plan Toys for Tots with assistance from Mrs. Brown.
  • Elections. Motion: That we will announce elections at the troop meeting 7 Dec, conduct nominations on 14 Dec, and conduct elections on 21 Dec. Motion passed.
  • January Outings
    • Motion: Overnight XC ski trip on 28-29 Jan. Committee chaired by Stefan. Motion passed.
    • Motion: Participate in the Klondike Derby 14 Jan. Committee chaired by Jake. Motion passed.
  • January Program
    • 11 Jan: Klonike preparation led by Robin.
    • 18 Jan: Preparation for XC ski outing.
    • 25 Jan: Preparation for XC ski outing.
  • March Program. Motion: That we will go to Scout Ski Day at the Skiway and stay at Nunnemacher Cabin. Planning committee to be chaired by Teddy. Motion passed.
